Now that regulation has taken hold, compliance requirements mean that many adviser practices are simply not as profitable or as fulfilling to operate as they use to be - and as we're coming to year end, some advisers may be asking themselves if this is a good time to exit their businesses. But advisory businesses aren't selling for what they were - and holding out for another five years may well pay off...
